Spinning Around was the first single off of Light Years. Spinning Around is considered Kylie's comeback hit. It was her first number one single in the UK since Tears on My Pillow in 1990, and her first #1 in Australia since Confide in Me in 1995. The music video featured Kylie in those famous gold hot pants. Spinning Around went on to become a moderate hit outside the UK and Australia, it peaked in the top 40 in a large number of countries. One of the co-writers of Spinning Around included Paula Abdul.
